1. Cleaning of water supply equipment
The alcohol fountain system is different from the traditional fountain structure. The traditional fountain roll has a certain adsorption effect on the paper wool, powder spraying and ink during the printing process, and can absorb these impurities onto the flannel cover. The water roller used for alcohol based fountain solution transfers most of the paper wool, powder spray, and gasoline used for washing rubber to the water bucket, and then returns to the water tank through the return pipe, causing a decrease in the wetting performance of the fountain solution in the water tank. In severe cases, it can make the fountain solution turbid, causing the water pipe to block and affecting the normal water supply of the water tank. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean the water tank and pan. Pay attention to the following points: (1) Clean the surface dust of each instrument in the control cabinet; (2) Check the filter screen of the water supply and drainage pipelines, and clean the water level detectors in the four unit water trays to ensure smooth water supply and drainage; (3) Check the filter screen in the water tank. If it is dirty, clean or replace it in a timely manner. Check the water quality in the water tank and replace it if necessary. Clean the sediment in the water tank and the oil on the ball float; (4) Clean the dust on the air filter screen of the refrigeration equipment; (5) Maintain the cleanliness of the bucket roller and water transfer roller to ensure good water transfer performance.
2. Maintenance of motor and gear
The water roller motor is the power source of the water bucket roller and has a long working time, so maintenance of the water roller motor is very important. The load driven by the water roller motor is directly related to the pressure of the water bucket roller and the water transfer roller. If it works at an overload, it can cause the body to overheat, and in severe cases, it may burn out the motor. Therefore, when balancing the pressure between each water roller, try to be as light as possible to reduce the load of the water roller motor. For gears, regular grease lubrication should be added to reduce wear and effectively protect the smoothness of gear transmission. The bearings at both ends of the bridge roller should also be regularly filled with grease.
3 Standardized operation
For printers who have just come into contact with the alcohol fountain system, it is necessary to have a detailed understanding of the various switch buttons and operating precautions. If the operation is not strictly regulated, major faults may occur. For example, there is a rotary knob on each color deck of the machine, which is used to control the test and automatic (AUT) status of each color deck waterway. During the printing process, if it is found that the knob is in the Test position, it cannot be directly switched to the AUT state. The machine must be stopped before switching the knob. This is because the water circuit was not started during the test, and the water roller was dry, without lubrication, and with a large speed difference. At this point, when operating the pressure of the water system, the friction force between the water roller and the metering roller at the moment of contact is too large, which can cause the water roller to be gnawed. Therefore, operators of printing equipment must understand the specific meanings of each button and carry out standardized operations in order to ensure the good use of the equipment.
